This policy explains how Brighton Technologies Group handles your personal information when you use our website, request pricing or deal with us or our authorised partners.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to price, quote and support our products.

We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health or financial account details through our website.

How we collect it

Most information comes straight from you when you fill in a form on our website or talk to us.

  • Pricing calculator: before we show pricing, we ask for your details and your agreement to this policy. We then save the setups you price, even if you don’t send a quote request.
  • SMS verification: we text a one-time code to the mobile you give us to confirm it’s yours. The code expires after 10 minutes. Texts are sent through our SMS provider, GuniSMS.
  • Cookies: a small cookie remembers that you’ve already registered, so you don’t have to re-enter your details for 30 days. You can clear it at any time or use the “Not you?” link on the page.
  • From our authorised partners: if you deal with one of our partners about BTG products, they may pass your details and enquiry to us.


Why we use it

We use your information to give you pricing and to follow up with you about it.

  • Show you pricing and prepare, confirm and follow up your quote
  • Verify your mobile number and stop misuse of our website
  • Contact you by phone, SMS or email, directly or through an authorised partner, about your quote and related BTG products and services
  • Supply, install, support and bill for products if you become a customer
  • Improve our products and pricing, using combined figures that don’t identify you
  • Meet our legal obligations

If you’d rather not give us your details, we can’t show pricing on the website. You can still call us on 1300 367 177 for a quote.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with people who help us quote, supply or support BTG products. We never sell it.

  • Authorised partners: dealers, resellers, installers and service agents that BTG has authorised to sell, install or support its products throughout Australia. They may contact you about your quote and related products and services. They must use your information only for those purposes and handle it in line with the Privacy Act.
  • Service providers: GuniSMS delivers our SMS messages, including verification codes. It may only use your information to provide that service to us. We host our website and email ourselves.
  • Legal and business reasons: where the law requires or allows it, or as part of a sale or restructure of our business.


Follow-up contact and opting out

When you tick the box on our website, you agree that BTG and our authorised partners may contact you by phone, SMS and email about your quote and related products and services.

  • Every marketing email or text will say who it’s from and how to unsubscribe.
  • You can opt out at any time: reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or contact us using the details below.
  • We’ll action your request within 5 working days, and tell the authorised partner who contacted you.
  • Opting out of marketing won’t stop messages we need to send about products you’ve already ordered.


Storage, security and how long we keep it

We store your information in our website and business systems, and only staff and partners who need it can see it.

  • Security: we use access controls, secure connections and trusted providers to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
  • Where it’s stored: We store your information in Australia.
  • SMS codes: verification codes expire after 10 minutes and are never stored in readable form.
  • How long: we keep enquiry details for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer. Consent records are kept for as long as we hold your details. We then delete or de-identify them.


Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or make a complaint, by contacting our Privacy Officer. We’ll respond within 30 days.
